'Night' gets re-worked...
John Carpenter released 'Lost Themes' earlier this year, a collection of brooding electronics from a seminal producer.
'Lost Themes Remixed' finds the material getting overhauled by a number of guest producers, with Zola Jesus and Dean Hurley pairing up to re-work 'Night'.
Darker than dark, the heavyweight remix has plenty of low end but is also blessed by a crystalline vocal take. Zola Jesus says: “The opportunity to lend an interpretation of John Carpenter's music is beyond surreal and humbling.”
Dean Hurley notes that “John Carpenter is an absolute master of mood and has such an eloquent and powerful 'less is more' quality to his music.”
